Ousted San Francisco District Attorney Chesa Boudin is making $210,000 a year running a center for criminal law and justice at the University of California, Berkeley.

Boudin was recalled from office last year in a vote recall election amid a spike in crime that started during the pandemic and continues.

However, Boudin face much of the blame from residents, attribute crimes such as robberies and thefts to his progressive policies including light jail sentences for criminals and not prosecuting certain crimes.

Boudin began working in May as the executive director of the new center for criminal law and justice at Berkeley's law school. However, his salary just recently became public through documents obtained by The College Fix, a conservative news website focusing on higher education.

"I’m thrilled to join the nation’s premier public law school and engage with brilliant scholars and students to drive meaningful change by elevating the lived experience of those directly impacted," Boudin said in a statement, according to the Washington Examiner.

Public records show that he had a $309,000 salary as district attorney of San Francisco.
