Florida Congressman Cory Mills went to Israel and helped evacuate dozens of Americans in war zone
Americans and others in the region are rushing to evacuate as Israel appears ready to invade Gaza to retaliate against Hamas
Florida GOP Rep. Cory Mills says he returned from Israel after helping evacuate 77 Americans stranded there.
Mills told the New York Post he was called to action after learning Americans were stranded in a war zone in Israel following the terrorist attack by Hamas on Saturday.
"I just immediately left D.C. and I just decided within an hour’s notice that I couldn’t sit there and do nothing anymore,” he said.
Mills was reportedly part of an effort Wednesday to transport 32 Americans across the Jordanian border.
He told Fox News that those rescued were able to arrange flights from Jordan back to the U.S.
