GoFundMe campaign set up for slain NYPD officer's family raises over $670K

Diller was fatally shot during a traffic stop earlier this week.

A GoFundMe page for slain New York Police Department officer Jonathan Diller's had raised over $670,000 by Friday morning. 

Diller was fatally shot during a traffic stop Monday in Queens. He is survived by his wife and 1-year-old son.

“Thank you everyone for your continued donations,” a message on the GoFundMe site reads. “What started off as an attempt to put together $10,000 has exploded to over 10x that in less than a day.” 

The goal is to raise $750,000, according to the page. 

Diller's wake took place on Thursday in Massapequa, Long Island, New York.

Former President Donald Trump attended the wake after being invited by Diller's family.
