Gov. Tim Walz's brother criticizes him on Facebook, says he doesn't have good character

Democratic Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz's brother Jeff criticized him on Facebook, saying that he does not have the kind of character to make decisions about the future of Americans. 

Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris picked Walz earlier this month to be her running mate. 

In March of 2023, Jeff Walz wrote in a Facebook post: "We've just become a third world banana republic."

But earlier this week, the post got traction and Jeff started responding to Facebook comments when people asked about his brother. 

Someone commented under his post, "Have a talk with your brother" to which he replied, "Haven't spoke to him in 8 years. I'm 100% opposed to all his ideology."

Another Facebook user asked Walz if he would get on stage with GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump and endorse him. 

"I've thought hard about doing something like that!" Walz responded to the comment. "I'm torn between that and just keeping my family out of it. The stories I could tell. Not the type of character you want making decisions about your future."
