Vice President Kamala Harris got slammed on social media after she messed up the Pledge of Allegiance during the swearing in of U.S. senators on Friday.
Before the swearing in began, Harris led the senators in the pledge stating, “I pledge allegiance to the United States of America."
She left out the "to the flag" part, according to The Daily Wire.
This resulted in multiple social media posts criticizing her.
"It shouldn’t just be laughed off that the Vice President of the United States doesn’t know the pledge of allegiance," one user wrote on X. "This is a new, disrespectful low for someone in public office."
"Kamala Harris not knowing all the words to the Pledge of Allegiance is her political career in a nutshell," another user wrote.
"Thank God Trump won," popular account Libs of TikTok wrote on X.
Harris has garnered considerable ridicule for her frequent "word salads."
