CPAC organizer Schlapp says theme for 2024 event will be: 'Where Globalism Goes to Die'
Schlapp cited examples of globalism, including the World Economic Forum, Big Tech and the United Nations.
Conservative Political Action Conference Chairman Matt Schlapp announced the 2024 theme of the Republican conference: "Where Globalism Goes to Die."
"The theme we haven't really made public, but I'm going to kind of launch it here and we'll see if people like it," Schlapp said Monday on the "John Solomon Reports" podcast. "It's 'Where Globalism goes to Die.' It sounds a little sinister, but it is kind of everything we're facing."
He went on to cite examples of what he and other conservative consider globalism including World Economic Forum, Big Tech and the United Nations.
CPAC holds an annual conference that hosts conservative activists and lawmakers in Washington, D.C.
This year's event will again be held at the National Harbor, in suburban Maryland, from Feb. 21-24.
Schlapp said while he acknowledged most Americans are independent and not as politically involved, many are realizing they can't avoid politics due to the state of the country.
"There was always a big independent streak in America and it's one of the things that's great about America," he said. "The sad thing is, is that people are realizing you can't do anything devoid of politics in this country because the left has made everything a political fight."
