Secretary General Mark Rutte said that he found out the news about the soldiers' deaths in Warsaw.
North Atlantic Treaty Organization Secretary General Mark Rutte said Wednesday that the four U.S. soldiers who went missing in Lithuania during training have been found dead.
However, Rutte said he does not know the details of their deaths at this time.
“This is still early news," he said, according to The Associated Press. "This is really terrible news and our thoughts are with the families and loved ones."
It was reported Tuesday by the Lithuanian public broadcaster that a vehicle and four U.S. soldiers were missing Tuesday afternoon.
