Newsom announces he's headed to Israel following Hamas attack
This announcement has brought back speculation of a potential Newsom 2024 presidential run from a number of conservatives.
California Democrat Gov. Gavin Newsom announced on social media that he is heading to Israel amid its war with Hamas.
"I’m on my way to Israel," Newsom wrote on X, formerly called Twitter. "I’ll be meeting with those impacted by the horrific terrorist attacks and offering California’s support."
This announcement has brought back speculation of a potential Newsom 2024 presidential run from a number of conservatives.
"Just announce you’re running for president already," Fox News commentator Tomi Lahren wrote in response.
"Just announce you are running and get it over with," another user added.
Newsom has insisted multiple times he will not be running for president in 2024 and threw his support behind President Biden.
However, some conservatives still speculate that he will run based on some recent far-left bills that Newsom has vetoed in the past few months, presumably to appear more moderate.
