Over 200 people were killed after a roof collapsed at a nightclub in the Dominican Republic, as the search for survivors concludes.

The country's Emergency Center Operations announced Thursday that no one had been recovered alive since Tuesday, according to CNN.

The center's director, Juan Manuel Méndez, broke down in tears when he announced the news that the death toll had increased.

“Today I conclude the hardest job I’ve ever done in my 20 years of service,” he said.

It isn't clear at the moment how many people are still missing.

Earlier this week, a roof collapsed at a nightclub in the Dominican Republic and left multiple people dead, including Nelsy Cruz, the governor of Montecristi.

The cause of the collapse remains unclear.
