President-elect Donald Trump says he will be attending President Jimmy Carter's funeral.
While walking into a New Year's Eve party at his home at Mar-a-Lago, Florida, Trump was asked whether he would be attending the funeral to which he responded, "I'll be there," according to The Associated Press.
Memorial services for Carter will happen in Georgia and Washington, D.C., starting on Jan. 4.
Carter's state funeral in Washington will take place Jan. 9.
Carter, a peanut farmer who became the longest-living president, died Sunday at his home in Plains, Georgia, at the age of 100.
President Joe Biden also ordered U.S. flags to fly at half-staff for 30 days beginning Sunday.
