Winning Powerball ticket sold in California, $1.76 billion jackpot second-largest in history

The winning, $1.76 billion Powerball ticket was sold in California Wednesday night.

The jackpot is the second-largest in Powerball history. 

The lottery ticket was purchased at Midway Market & Liquors in Frazier Park, Calif., about 75 miles north of Los Angeles,

The winner is believed to be a local resident who visits the store every day to “religiously” play the lottery, according to the New York Post.
