Former Vice President Al Gore reportedly heckled Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick this week during a dinner at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, according to multiple news reports.

Lutnick addressed global business and political leaders during the Tuesday night dinner, which was hosted by billionaire BlackRock boss Larry Fink. The secretary claimed during the speech that Europe was losing global influence and argued that the world should prioritize coal over renewable energy, according to People Magazine.

Sources told the New York Post that multiple people jeered during the speech, including Gore, who went up to the secretary afterward and said "boo." Gore confirmed he made his opinions on the speech clear, but denied interrupting it.

“I sat and listened to his remarks,” Gore told the New York Post in a statement. “I didn’t interrupt him in any way. It’s no secret that I think this administration’s energy policy is insane. And at the end of his speech I reacted with how I felt, and so did several others.”

The Commerce Department rejected reports that multiple people booed, claiming that Gore was the only person who did.

The economic summit began Monday and is expected to run through Friday. President Donald Trump brought five of his cabinet secretaries with him to the summit, along with members of Congress, and delivered his address on Wednesday.
