BREAKING: 4.4 million Americans filed first-time jobless claims last week

An estimated 4.4 million Americans applied last week for first-time unemployment claims, the Labor Department said. Thursday.
At estimated 26 million Americans have filed for jobless claims over the past five weeks, as the coronavirus continues to take it toll on the U.S. economy.
Last week's number is slightly less than analysts' prediction of 5 million.
