Bipartisan U.S. House task force releases report on artificial intelligence

Speaker Johnson said he and House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries "established the Bipartisan Task Force on Artificial Intelligence to ensure America continues leading in this strategic arena."

The House Task Force on Artificial Intelligence released a bipartisan report on Tuesday.

The 250-page report includes "guiding principles and forward-looking recommendations" that might be needed to "advance America’s leadership in AI innovation responsibly," according to House Speaker Mike Johnson's office.

Among the recommendations in the report is making sure humans are "in the loop to actively identify and remedy potential flaws when AI is used in highly consequential decision-making."

Johnson said in a statement that he and House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries "established the Bipartisan Task Force on Artificial Intelligence to ensure America continues leading in this strategic arena."
