Congressional leaders invite Republic of Korea president to address joint session of Congress
The address is scheduled to take place on Thursday, April 27.
Congressional leaders on Thursday formally invited Republic of Korea President Yoon Suk Yeol to address a joint meeting of Congress in April.
House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell sent the formal invitation to the president in "honor of the 70th anniversary of the alliance between the United States and the Republic of Korea."
The address is scheduled to take place on Thursday, April 27.
