Cotton fires back at Trump, says he won’t support making Daylight Saving Time permanent
“Arkansans don’t want their kids going to school in the pitch dark, and I’ll always put Arkansas first," Cotton wrote.
Sen. Tom Cotton, R-Ark., fired back at President Trump criticizing him for blocking a bill to make Daylight Saving Time permanent in the U.S.
"No one likes changing the clock, me included, but Congress has enacted permanent Daylight Savings Time multiple times before and repealed it each time once Americans experienced absurdly late sunrises in the winter. Arkansans don’t want their kids going to school in the pitch dark, and I’ll always put Arkansas first," Cotton wrote.
Trump posted on Truth Social about Cotton on Saturday, prompting Cotton to respond.
