At least 955 people have already been charged in connection with the riot.
The Democrat-led House committee investigating the Jan. 6 Capitol riot will make criminal referrals to the Justice Department, panel Chairman Rep. Bennie Thompson said Tuesday.
However, the Mississippi Democrat said the panel has yet to create a list of who will be referred and suggested that some witnesses who testified might have committed perjury, according to CNN.
The committee is expected to meet later Tuesday.
Time is running out for the select committee, formed to investigate the Jan. 6, 2021, riot at the U.S. Capitol and whose time is expiring as this session of Congress ends next month.
At least 955 people have already been charged in connection with the riot, according to news reports.
