Rep. Ro Khanna, D-Calif., revealed that he was detained for more than an hour by Israeli settlers during a visit to the West Bank, Khanna said.

According to Reuters, Khanna said on Saturday that members of the Israel Defense Forces spoke with the settlers and repositioned a vehicle to obstruct the roadway.

Reuters asked Khanna about his potential run for president in 2028.

"I'm strongly considering it," he said.

"And I'm more resolved to consider it after this trip. We need a new moral direction in our party. A new moral vision that respects the dignity and human rights of people around the world," he added.
