Ex-Homeland Security secretary predicts Mayorkas will struggle during testimony before Congress
Wolf predicted that Mayorkas won't have any answers for some of the questions he will be asked by the lawmakers.
Former acting Secretary of the Homeland Security Department Chad Wolf predicts that House Republicans will put pressure on his successor Alejandro Mayorkas during his testimony before Congress Wednesday.
"I think the secretary is going to have a very difficult day tomorrow, because the facts are not on his side, unfortunately," Wolf said on the Tuesday edition of the "Just the News, No Noise" TV show.
"I think that's what House Republicans are coming to come to the table with, is a number of overwhelming facts that say, 'you have either bent the law or broken the law,' and I believe it's broken the law in many different instances and circumstances," he continued.
Current Secretary of the Homeland Security Department Mayorkas has come under attack from Republican lawmakers due to the crisis at the southern border with many migrants coming across daily and Border Patrol agents not having enough resources to deal with the amount of people.
Last year, Arizona GOP Rep. Andy Biggs introduced legislation to impeach him over the crisis.
Wolf predicted that Mayorkas won't have any answers for some of the questions he will be asked by the lawmakers.
"I think it's going to be another very difficult and rough day for him," he said.
