FBI Diretor Wray to testify Chinese hackers preparing to ‘wreak havoc’ on 'every American'
Wray testifies before a House select committee on competition with China
FBI Director Christopher Wray is set to testify on Capitol Hill on Wednesday that Chinese hackers are preparing to "wreak havoc and cause real-world harm to American citizens and communities."
Wray made the remarks in prepared testimony ahead of appearance before a House select committee on competition with China.
The hearing is titled "The Chinese Community Party Cyber Threat to the American Homeland and National Security."
"There has been far too little public focus on the fact that People’s Republic of China hackers are targeting our critical infrastructure – our water treatment plants, our electrical grid, our oil and natural gas pipelines, our transportation systems," Wray is also set to say, according to FoxNews.com. "And the risk that poses to every American requires our attention – now," Wray is expected to tell lawmakers in an excerpt from his remarks."
