Sen. Fetterman and wife involved in a two-vehicle crash in Maryland
"On Sunday morning, John and Gisele were involved in a car accident with another driver," a spokesperson for Sen. Fetterman's office said Monday. "Out of an abundance of caution, they were evaluated at a local hospital. John was treated for a bruised shoulder and they were discharged that afternoon."
Pennsylvania Sen. John Fetterman and his wife, Gisele, were slightly injured in a two-vehicle crash Sunday, on a highway in Maryland, according to his office.
The senator, a Democrat, was driving a Chevrolet Traverse west on Interstate 70, when he hit the rear of a Chevrolet Impala. A passenger in the Traverse and the driver of the Impala were taken to the War Memorial Hospital in West Virginia for their injuries, according to CBS News.
"On Sunday morning, John and Gisele were involved in a car accident with another driver," a spokesperson for Sen. Fetterman's office said Monday. "Out of an abundance of caution, they were evaluated at a local hospital. John was treated for a bruised shoulder and they were discharged that afternoon. They are doing well and happy to be back in Braddock."
An investigation into the crash is still ongoing, but no citations have been given for the crash so far.
