Director of Iranian Americans for Liberty says Ilhan Omar shouldn't be on foreign affairs committee
Today the House GOP went forward with a resolution to remove the Minnesota congresswoman from the Foreign Affairs Committee.
The director of Iranian Americans for Liberty, Bryan Leib, says that Democrat Rep. Ilhan Omar should not be allowed on the Foreign Affairs Committee due to her remarks about Israel and the United States.
"I think Ilhan Omar has absolutely no place being on House Foreign Affairs Committee," Leib said on the Wednesday edition of the "Just the News, No Noise" TV show. "Her rhetoric towards Israel and also comparing the United States military to Hamas and the Taliban should disqualify her from being on there."
Today the House GOP went forward with a resolution to remove the Minnesota congresswoman from the Foreign Affairs Committee.
This is something that GOP House Speaker Kevin McCarthy has promised he would do, along with removing Reps Eric Swalwell (D-Calif.) and Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) from their committees.
"This is not a racist play," Leib stated. "This has nothing to do with the fact that she's a Muslim member of Congress. If she wants to serve on the Veteran Affairs Committee or the Small Business Committee, then she should do that.
"But at the end of the day, she has disqualified herself based on her words and her rhetoric," he concluded.
