Former NY Rep. Zeldin urges GOP colleagues to 'show up with the receipts' for Hunter Biden testimony
"Show up with the receipts and ask some really great questions," Zeldin said.
Former New York GOP gubernatorial candidate and Rep. Lee Zeldin on Tuesday urged his Republican colleagues to show the receipts during first son Hunter Biden's testimony before Congress.
Hunter Biden is expected to testify before the House Oversight Committee on Wednesday in the ongoing impeachment inquiry into his father.
"The left keeps saying there's no evidence," Zeldin said on the "Just the News, No Noise" TV show. "It's important for Republicans to show up with the receipts. They've done the subpoenas. They've gotten the financial records. They have emails, texts, laptop videos, they've done some other depositions. They have Hunter's own statements."
Zeldin added that House Republicans have considerable evidence regarding the actions of Hunter Biden and should not overthink their approach.
"The narrative of the left going into tomorrow is that there is no evidence," he said. "Show up with the receipts and ask some really great questions. Make your questions and the time count to be able to get answers for the American people."
The expected testimony is part of a broader investigative effort by House Republicans into the Biden family regarding its business dealings and the alleged weaponization of the federal government against political rivals.
