The Fox News forum with GOP House speaker candidates will not take place on Monday as initially planned.

Republican House members had reservations about the forum, and the speaker candidates decided not to move forward with it, Just the News learned from a source familiar with the planning of the event.

Fox News had sent out a press release about the event, mentioning that House Majority Leader Steve Scalise (R-La.); Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), chairman of the House Judiciary Committee; and Rep. Kevin Hern (R-Okla.) were expected to be part of the event.

Scalise and Jordan reportedly later had a conversation about the forum and agreed not to participate.

The press release has been removed from the Fox webpage.
