The GOP-led House is scheduled to vote Wednesday on two resolution including one "strongly condemning" the entire Biden administration and specifically Vice President Kamala Harris, now Democrat's top 2024 presidential candidate, on the argument they failed to secure the U.S. border.

The resolution was introduced by Rep. Elise Stefanik, R-N.Y., a member of House Republican leadership.

It formally condemns the administration for failing to "secure the U.S. border," pointing to 9.7 million illegal immigrant encounters nationwide since January 2021 and refers to Harris and President Biden's "Border Czar."

The other resolution is a first step toward creating a task force into the July 13 campaign rally for GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump in which a sniper attempted assassinate him.

The border resolution also states that top border officials have said they didn't have any conversations with Harris, whom the administration said was focused on the root cause of immigration, not the border"

United States Border Patrol Chief Jason Owens stated that Vice President Kamala Harris has "not spoken with him since he was appointed in July 2023," according to the resolution.

The resolution regarding the Trump rally will focus on what security lapses, primarily those by the Secret Service, allowed a gunman to fire eight shots from a roof about 150 yards away from the rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.

One person was fatally shot and three others were wounded including former President Trump.

The resolution establishes a task force – on the attempted assassination of Donald J. Trump – will be composed of a maximum 13 members appointed by House Speaker Mike Johnson with no more than six appointed after consultation with the House Democrat leader Hakeem Jeffries.
