GOP Rep Gosar defends against criticism for sharing 'Jewish warmonger' story naming Blinken, Nuland
Gosar promoted a website that contains numerous antisemitic and anti-Israel articles.
Arizona GOP Rep. Paul Gosar is defending himself against criticism for having included in his weekly newsletter a story with a headline calling Biden administration officials "Jewish warmongers," saying it is "not possible to read every article."
Gosar's April 10 newsletter includes a link to a recent "Veterans Today" article with the headline, "Congressman: Jewish warmongers Nuland & Blinken 'Are Dangerous Fools Who Can Get Us All Killed.'"
The story in part focuses on Gosar's Feb. 23 Twitter post supporting site owner Elon Musk's criticism of the policy positions of Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Victoria Nuland.
However, the word "Jewish" is not included in the title of the article in Gosar's newsletter, which suggests at least somebody associated with the newsletter had read the story, critics argue.
Gosar has previously come under fire for his support of Holocaust deniers Nick Fuentes and Vincent James Foxx.
In his newsletter Sunday, Gosar acknowledges that part of the "Veterans Today" website has anti-Semitic content but argues: "I have a solid record supporting Christians and Jews and other faiths. This cannot be rationally questioned."
"Some dishonest media reported that by linking to this story I support anti-semitism which is false and defamatory. It is not possible to read every article on every website I link to."
