Tom Homan, the Trump administration's border czar, revealed on Sunday that border crossings are down 93%.

"The crossings on the border are down 93%. That's a bigger decrease than under the first Trump administration," Homan said Sunday on Fox News. "President Trump is the game changer. No one has had the success he's had on securing the border."

Homan said Trump understands the nation cannot have strong national security without border security.

"We've achieved success on the border already. We've got more work to do," he said.

In a social media post, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem said daily border crossings have "plunged" by 93% since Trump took office.

Homan said ICE has already arrested more than 5,000 illegal immigrants in the first week of Trump's presidency and the majority of them have criminal records.

Homan added that the only non-criminals being arrested are discovered in the process of finding and arrested those with criminal histories. He vowed to continue removal operations in sanctuary cities that do not cooperate with ICE.

"If you want to be a sanctuary city, you're going to get exactly what you don't want: more agents in the community and more non-criminals arrested," he said.
