House Republicans on Thursday released an impeachment inquiry resolution of President Joe Biden, with the vote expected to take place next week.

The resolution directs committees in the GOP-controlled chamber to "continue their investigations as part of the House Republicans' inquiry into whether sufficient grounds exist in the House of  Representatives to exercise its Constitutional power to impeach Joseph Biden.”

According to The Hill, a markup of the resolution is scheduled for Tuesday.

The White House has argued that the impeachment inquiry is unconstitutional due to it not being formalized with a vote from the entire House.

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan disagrees.

“Constitutionally, it’s not required," the Ohio Republican argues. "But if you have a vote of the full House of Representatives and the majority say we’re in that official status as part of our overall oversight work or constitutional oversight duty that we have, it just helps us in court.”

House Republicans have been leading investigations into the Biden family for the past couple years in regard to overseas business dealings and alleged weaponization of the federal government.
