House Judiciary Committee votes to hold Biden ghostwriter in contempt of Congress
The vote followed a vote to hold Attorney General Merrick Garland in contempt for similar reasons.
The House Judiciary Committee on Thursday voted for the second time this month to hold an individual close to President Joe Biden in contempt of Congress, this time presidential ghostwriter Mark Zwonitzer.
The vote came after the committee finished a hearing on its report recommending the lower chamber cite the ghostwriter for contempt for failing to respond to a subpoena seeking documents and audio recordings related to his interviews with Biden during his work on the former vice president's memoir.
The contempt resolution will now move forward to be considered by the full House.
