House Oversight Chairman Comer says the 'antisemitic wing' has taken over the Democratic Party
Comer said members of the House Oversight Committee would “follow the money trail to see if there are outside groups that are paying for the activity.”
House Oversight Chairman James Comer, R-Ky., said Thursday that an "antisemitic wing" has taken over the Democrat Party.
"We know that antisemitic wing has taken over the Democrat party," he said on the "Just the News, No Noise" TV show. "They don't want to do anything to offend the antisemitic wing of the Democrat Party."
On Tuesday, Comer and other House Republicans went to George Washington University to support efforts to clear pro-Palestinian protesters who set up encampments.
According to the Washington Examiner, Comer said members of the House Oversight Committee would “follow the money trail to see if there are outside groups that are paying for the activity.”
The Kentucky Republican noted that many of the protesters at George Washington University didn't appear to be students.
"The president of the university also estimated that 80% of the protesters were not students at George Washington University," he said. "She said they could have been students at other universities, and certainly some of them by their appearance appeared to definitely be well beyond the age of a college student who would be protesting."
