Heavy metal icon Ozzy Osbourne died on Tuesday at age 76, just weeks after a farewell concert, where he reunited with his band, Black Sabbath.

Osbourne's family said in a statement, "It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love," Sky News reported.

During his final show earlier this month, Osbourne said on stage to fans, "You've no idea how I feel - thank you from the bottom of my heart."

His wife, Sharon, had announced the farewell concert earlier this year, saying that he was determined to give fans the "perfect farewell."

Osbourne announced in 2020 that he had Parkinson's disease and had suffered other health problems in recent years, including complications from injuries sustained from a fall in 2019.

He was twice inducted into both the UK Music Hall of Fame and the U.S. Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame, with Black Sabbath and as a solo artist.

Osbourne also has a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame.

He leaves behind his wife, Sharon, and their children, Aimee, Kelly, and Jack, in addition to his two older children, Jessica and Louis, from his first marriage to Thelma Riley, and grandchildren.
