The House passed a Republican-led health care bill Wednesday evening that does not address expiring Affordable Care Act tax credits, putting the Obamacare subsidies on a path to expire at the end of the year. 

The bill, dubbed the Lower Health Care Premiums for All Americans Act, was passed in a 216-211 vote, with just Kentucky GOP Rep. Thomas Massie voting with Democrats against the legislation.

House leadership has struggled to reach a consensus on healthcare reforms ahead of the ACA deadline and the issue has come to the forefront in the wake of the government shutdown that Democrats orchestrated to secure healthcare funding.

The legislation is not expected to pass in the Republican-led Senate before it breaks for the holidays.
