The House of Representatives on Tuesday rejected a measure introduced by Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., which would have prohibited U.S. military action in Lebanon.

The measure failed in a bipartisan vote of 185-225, with 22 Democrats voting against it, Fox News reported

Rep. Thomas Massie, R-Ky., was among the Republicans who supported the measure.

The measure would have been symbolic regardless of the outcome, as it wouldn't have been sent to President Donald Trump for a veto if passed.
