Manchin not running for president, report

Democrat Sen. Joe Manchin is set to announce Friday that he will not run for president, according to a news report. 

The expected announcement was made by Manchin spokesman Jon Kott, according to The Hill newspaper. 

The announcement also ends speculation the West Virginia senator will mount a third-party bid.

Manchin, a moderate Democrat in a heavily Republican-leaning state, has already announce he will not seek reelection.
