Mothers of illegal immigrant crime victims slam Democrat for claiming they have been exploited

Rep. Veronica Escobar, D-Texas, argued that House Republicans are exploiting the family members' of victims of illegal immigrant crime for "political purposes" but they strongly disagreed during a House hearing on Tuesday.

In response to Escobar's claim, two witnesses whose children were killed by illegal immigrants inside the U.S. said they willingly testified at the House Judiciary Committee hearing, titled, "The Biden-Harris Border Crisis: Victim Perspectives."

April Aguirre, a crime victims' advocate, told Escobar it was "insulting" for her to insinuate that the victims' families were being used in some way.
