Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., on Tuesday said she would be happy to file an ethics complaint against Rep. Eric Swalwell, D-Calif. for helping first son Hunter Biden defy a House subpoena.

"I'd be happy to write an ethics complaint against him," Greene said on the John Solomon Reports podcast. "I think there should be charges against Eric Swalwell. If we actually had a legitimate Department of Justice, I think we would see charges against him as a member of Congress."

Swalwell allegedly assisted Biden's public appearance at the U.S. Capitol last week during which he held a press conference before skipping out on a scheduled appearance before a congressional committee, according California GOP Rep. Darrel Issa, who told the  Washington Examiner that Swalwell was "aiding and abetting contempt."

The California Democrat reportedly reserved a space for the press conference, which the first son could not have done on his own.

Greene emphasized that defying a subpoena is breaking federal law and added that she doubted the DOJ would move to hold Swalwell accountable.

"We don't have a legitimate Department of Justice," she said. "We have a politicized and weaponized Department of Justice that would do nothing to Eric Swalwell."

She further added that censuring him was also on the table.
