Maxine Waters claims on Twitter that her account was hacked and 'erased'
The California Democrat claimed that she is aware of the person “who has done this,” while vowing to “take care of this” herself.
California's Democrat Rep. Maxine Waters on Tuesday tweeted that her Twitter account had been “hacked” and subsequently erased, despite it being in working order.
“I have been hacked and my Twitter account has been erased,” the Congresswoman wrote, despite her account appearing untouched, and her previous tweets still intact.
I have been hacked and my Twitter account has been erased. I know who has done this. I will take care of this. M Waters.

The Chair of the House Financial Services Committee also claimed that she is aware of the person “who has done this,” while vowing to “take care of this” herself.
She concluded her tweet by signing her name “M Waters.”
The tweet has gained over thousands of retweets and comments.
According to The Hill, Waters' office has not offered an explanation concerning the allegations made in the Tweet, and Twitter has not responded to media inquiries concerning the alleged hack.
