Rep. George Santos, R-N.Y., introduced a motion on Thursday to expel Democratic Rep. Jamaal Bowman, D-N.Y. after he pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge for pulling a fire alarm in a U.S. Capitol office building.

The timing of the vote on that resolution is unclear at this time.

A separate resolution to expel Santos is scheduled to be debated on the House floor on Thursday with a final vote expected the following day.

A resolution to expel a member needs two-thirds support in the House.
