Robert Hur to testify before Congress in March regarding Biden classified documents
The date for Hur's testimony is March 12, according to his personal attorney.
Special counsel Robert Hur is set to testify before Congress in March about his special report on President Joe Biden and his handling of classified documents.
The report released last week concluded that Biden "willfully" retained classified documents from his time as vice president, he knew he had them as far back as 2017, and shared them with an author who was ghostwriting his memoir.
Hur recommended against prosecuting Biden due to the president's age and poor memory.
"Mr. Biden turned in classified documents to the National Archives and the Department of Justice, consented to the search of multiple locations including his homes, sat for a voluntary interview and in other ways cooperated with the investigation," he wrote in his report.
The date for Hur's testimony is March 12, according to his personal attorney and another source, CBS News reports.
