Ron Johnson: Biden delivering on pledge to 'fundamentally transform America' — with open borders
Biden's decision to allow terror-affiliated migrants into America is "just one of the latest outrages of President Biden's open border policy," said the Wisconsin Republican senator.
Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wisc.) said President Joe Biden is delivering on his campaign promise to "fundamentally transform America," which he is currently doing through harmful open border policies that are allowing for record numbers of illegal immigrants, drug overdoses and human trafficking in the United States.
"Democrats need to be swept from power to send a very strong signal that the American public will not stand for completely open borders and creating these kinds of risks to our homeland and national security," Johnson told "Just the News, Not Noise" on Wednesday.
Johnson, a top member on the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, said he has been unable to get a response from federal agencies about Biden's decision to allow some migrants with terrorist ties into the United States.
While the administration claims it changed the immigration rule to help Afghan migrants, experts believe the policy is intended to appease Iran as part of the negotiations to revive the Obama-era nuclear deal.
"This may be just part and parcel of that negotiation, but it's an incredibly dangerous negotiation and further puts this nation at risk," Johnson explained, stating the Biden administration's attempts to reenter the deal "baffles" him and his colleagues.
The new immigration decision is "just one of the latest outrages of President Biden's open border policy," Johnson said.
"Let's face it, he promised he'd fundamentally transform America. And he's doing that. Now we see what fundamental transformation looks like: open borders, a flood of illegal immigrants, which put our nation at risk," he said, adding that there is a "flood of narcotics" and record numbers of illegal activities at the border.
Referring to the 53 migrants who died in a botched human trafficking incident in San Antonio, Texas, Johnson said, "53 people lost their lives in a mass murderer event because of Joe Biden's open border process. It is absolutely sick, what this administration is doing."
