Wisconsin GOP Sen. Ron Johnson on Thursday praised Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., stating he was "unbelievably responsive" and would be providing him with "terabytes" of HHS data on Friday.

Johnson expressed optimism in all of President Donald Trump's Cabinet picks, and members of his new administration, but highlighted Kennedy's commitment to providing transparency on issues like vaccine safety.

"Literally, before I just got on this podcast with you, I got a call from Bobby Kennedy reassuring me that he's dedicated to radical transparency," Johnson told John Solomon on his "John Solomon Reports" podcast. "Kennedy is unbelievably responsive. I told him I was not happy with the production based on our subpoena or the follow-up phone call. I mean, he texted me like within 30 seconds of me texting him.

"I think he's actually shaking things up," he continued. "We're apparently going to get some terabytes worth of information tomorrow. So we'll see. I'm more than willing to give these new secretaries the time and certainly respect. I know they're dedicated to doing this."

The comment comes just days after Johnson and Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley demanded that the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) produce records related to former President Joe Biden’s alleged use of a personal email address to conduct official government business related to his family's financial dealings.

Johnson said he was also "encouraged" by the new NARA archivist, stating they were also committed to being transparent.
