Standalone Israel funding bill passes procedural hurdle in GOP-led House
Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer has said the bill won't see a vote in the Senate and he will instead draft a comprehensive package including Ukraine, Israel and humanitarian aid
The standalone Israel funding bill passed a procedural hurdle in GOP-led House on Thursday, moving it one step closer to a floor vote.
House members are now debating amendments to the legislation, which includes $14.5 billion in aid for Israel as it battles Hamas in response to the terror attack that occurred in early October.
Senate Democrat leader Chuck Schumer indicated he give the bill a full floor vote and he will instead draft a comprehensive package including Ukraine, Israel and humanitarian aid.
