Suspect accused of sexually assaulting former Arizona Sen. Martha McSally arrested in Iowa
Iowa police released images from surveillance cameras they say show the suspect following Sen. McSally.
Police in Iowa announced Wednesday the arrest of a suspect in connection with an attack on former Arizona Republican Sen. Martha McSally, Fox News reports.
Authorities identified the suspect as 25-year-old Dominic Henton of Papillion, Nebraska, according to WOWT.
The Council Bluffs Police Department released surveillance camera images that police say show Henton following McSally eastbound over a bridge and then southbound onto the trail where the incident took place.
Henton is charged with one count of assault with the intent to commit sexual abuse.
The Council Bluffs police say Henton “is believed to be transient... and may frequent the area of the Riverfront on both the Iowa and Nebraska sides.”
