Texas Democrat Rep. Cuellar says southern border 'not secure'
U.S. Customs and Border Patrol data shows agents encountered nearly 2.4 million migrants this fiscal year, the highest number ever.
Texas Democrat Rep. Henry Cuellar on Sunday said the southern border "is not secure" and estimated that more than 5 million illegal migrants have entered the United States over the past two years.
Although the White House claims the border is secure, Cuellar told Fox News: "No, the border is not secure. When you have 1.7 million individuals last year, and now another 2.7 [million] ... if you add the getaways, that's going to be over 5 million individuals in just two years."

"It's not secured and we've got to make sure that we have repercussions there," Cuellar said.
