Drag performer "Lady Bunny," the featured entertainer at the House Democrats' issues retreat Wednesday night in Philadelphia, derided Joe Biden as "senile" in a 2019 tweet.
"The Dem frontrunner is senile," Lady Bunny wrote during the 2020 Democratic presidential primary race.
"Biden can't even tell which state he's in," taunted the founder of Wigstock, New York City's popular annual outdoor drag festival. "Trump would make mincemeat of Joe Biden."
Originally known as "Bunny Hickory Dickory Dock," Lady Bunny headlines the opening night reception at the Democrats' 2022 Issues Conference. The event is hosted by Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee Chair Sean Patrick Mahoney.
President Biden is scheduled to address the retreat on Friday, the final day of the gathering.
A top Republican slammed the Democrats for not including rising crime or the gas crisis as issues to discuss at the retreat.
"Democrats are headed to a 3 day 'issues' retreat in Philadelphia," Rep. Jim Banks, chairman of the Republican Study Committee, wrote on Twitter. "What's not on the agenda? Any mention of gas prices or the crime crisis. What is? A discussion on 'Art and Activism,' a panel with liberal union leaders, and a drag queen performance."
Breakout sessions on the agenda include "A Seat at the Table: The Path Toward Racial Justice and Equity in the Cannabis Industry" with California Democratic Rep. Barbara Lee. The plenary session on Thursday is titled "DCCC Presents: How We Win in 2022."
