Ukraine President Zelensky to make virtual address to joint session of Congress

In a letter to U.S. lawmakers, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer said Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will virtually address a joint session of Congress on Wednesday.
"Congress, our country and the world are in awe of the people of Ukraine," wrote the Democratic leaders to Capitol Hill lawmakers.
On Monday, talks between Ukraine and Russia resumed following an attack on a military base 15 miles from the Polish border. Ukrainian leaders appear more optimistic than in recent days as they head into the talks, though they remain adamant about their desire for an immediate ceasefire and Russian troops gone.
Over the weekend, ongoing fighting got in the way humanitarian corridors to besieged cities including Mariupol.
