House Republican leadership on Tuesday promised to work quickly in order to pass President Donald Trump's "One Big Beautiful Bill," and send it to the president's desk by a self-imposed Fourth of July deadline.

The statement comes after the Senate passed its version of the bill earlier Tuesday, after hours of debate and voting on amendments. The vote-a-rama process took more than 24 hours.

House Speaker Mike Johnson, House Majority Leader Steve Scalise, House Majority Whip Tom Emmer and House Republican Chairwoman Lisa McClain emphasized the need to pass the bill as the chamber prepares to vote Wednesday.

No, the Senate added and subtracted things that make it too hard for certain members to support it, and it will fall short
