GOP House to vote on bill to sanction ICC after arrest warrant pursuit of Israeli officials
Israeli President Benjamin Netanyahu was among Khan's list of government officials that would be targeted with arrest warrants if his efforts were approved by ICC judges.
The GOP-led House is scheduled to vote as early as Tuesday on legislation that would sanction the International Criminal Court after its prosecutor Karim Khan announced that he would seek arrest warrants for top Israeli government officials and Hamas leaders.
Israeli President Benjamin Netanyahu was among Khan's list of government officials that would be targeted with arrest warrants if his efforts were approved by ICC judges.
The legislation up for a vote would "impose sanctions with respect to the International Criminal Court engaged in any effort to investigate, arrest, detain, or prosecute any protected person of the United States and its allies."
