A federal judge on Wednesday blocked the deportation of the family of the suspect in a recent Colorado terrorist attack on a vigil for the Israeli hostages in Gaza.

U.S. District Judge Gordon Gallagher imposed the stay, saying "deportation without process could work irreparable harm and an order must issue without notice due to the urgency this situation presents," CBS reported.

Mohamed Soliman, an Egyptian national whose visa expired, stands accused of using a makeshift flamethrower to attack participants in a vigil in Boulder, Colo., during which he allegedly shouted "free Palestine!"

Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kristi Noem on Tuesday confirmed that Immigration and Customs Enforcement had taken his family into custody.
