Judge again fines Trump for violating gag order in hush money trial, warns next time could be jail

Last week, the judge ordered Trump to pay $9,000 for nine gag order violations.

Judge Juan Merchan on Monday ordered former President Trump’s to pay $1,000 for violating a gag order for the tenth time in the New York hush money case.

Merchan also warned Trump that future violations of the gag order could result in jail time.

“Defendant is hereby put on notice that if appropriate and warranted, future violations of its lawful orders will be punishable by incarceration,” Merchan wrote after issuing Trump a fine for attacking jurors. 

Last week, the judge ordered Trump to pay $9,000 for nine gag order violations.
